Just wondering why aluminum? My grandfather used to use them but I never have. I have thought about it though.

I switched from Carbon Express to theBeman ICS 340 camo hunters and they perform well. I only switched because I got a great deal on the Bemans. I don't think youcan go wrong with any arrow as long as you getthem from a reputable manufacturer.

Aluminums have better specs out of the box for the same or less money than most carbons. There are also more spine choices and for me they are easier to work with and tune.

If I ruin an arrow it usually doesn't matter what it's made of, it would be ruined either way. I am as carefull handling my arrows as I am my bow or any other weapon.

I don't mind heavy arrows either.

I have only used Beman ICS Hunters & Gold Tip as far as carbons go! Nothing bad to say about either. I currently shoot the Gold Tips only because I get them cheaper from my local pro shop!
I still use easton xx75 aluminum arroms off of my Jennings. I use the carbons with my Hoyt's.
As far as the price range between a dozen xx75's and the Gold Tips there is not much. This is at my local pro shop. Some others around me that I will not mention have a lot wider price range!

I didn't say aluminums were cheaper than some carbons. It's just that for simular prices, especially cheap ones aluminums are much more consistant than most carbons are. The quality control for bargain carbons is pretty poor in my opinion. Not that most notice the differences, but if you measure them you may be suprised.
