Open Plains Stalking?!
I'm beginning to hunt out here at college in easter washington/polouse area. This, for those of you who do not know, consists of mainly rolling dirt hills and wide expances. I was wondering what kind of stalking tactics you guys are familiar with that can get you close to deer when you're the only shape out there. oh, and if you want a mental of what this terrain looks like, think MARS, but with no rocks.
I was thinking ghillie, sniper crawl, and a sideways draw with a popup shot, but i haven't the chance to try it out. plus, if i'm within 30 yards of deer i wouldn't want to be too disguised - a lot of rifleman out in these parts with buck fever.
any help would be great!
