Default Open plains hunting?

Anyone have any good techniques for open range hunting? the area i'm hunting is the palouse in eastern washington. Very desolate rolling farmlands. you often can't see past the next tiny roll of the hill, however. I'm not sure how to adapt to being visible the entire time to the deer. Ghillie suits seems kind of dangerous without some serious orange in them, but i dont' see how that would work. aside form redying the middle of the ghillie orange!
maybe deer stalking, i could conceal my shape enough for them to not really understand what it was that was inching towards them.

any help would be great.

I attempted my first spot-n-stalk on mule deer in western KS a couple weeks ago during a break in pheasant hunting. Never been to eastern WA but sounds like similar country. We'd glass the area until we found something, then just stalk in using any cover available (fence post, bush, large weed, whatever - not much to choose from out there).
Use the cover when it's there, if not, stay low and use the wind to your advantage. I used Nat Gear camo and my buddy had Prairie Ghost (?) that didn't do too bad a job of blending and breaking up the outline. This was bow season and very sparsely populated, dunno that I'd be doing it if it was rifle season and folks were shooting at anything that moves within a half-mile. Also, if you can find a lone deer or a buck that's distracted by a doe, you're better off. If you've got a group of 5 or 6 bedded down, then you've got 12 eyes and ears looking out for you rather than just two that are more interested in the opposite sex than in you.

In my trip, Inever gotashot off but we had seven stalks of a quarter mile or more in which we got within 40 yards, some even closer. Ifa 6'6" klutz like me cansneak in that close, anybody can do it!
