ScentLoc vs. ScentBlocker
Hey Everyone. I'm new to the forum and think its a great site. Great information. I am thinking of updating my camo and I want to get a scent eliminator system. I am thinking Scent Loc but also considering Scent Blocker. I live in the NE (MA) so our bow season runs til the end of November so I want something warm and not have to wear a lot of clothes.Just curious what everyone thinks.

I personally dont own either.. I just wash all my clothes with baking soda, dry them with baking soda, store them with leaves and balsam needles, shower in scent killer soap, spray my clothes down with homemade scent killer and hunt the WIND..
If you hunt the WIND, you'll never need to worry about scent.
If you hunt the WIND, you'll never need to worry about scent.

There are questions as to how effective the activated carbon is. While it is effective initially, once the carbon is saturated with scent, it is just an expensive jacket.
The only way to reactivate carbon is to put it at 400C temperatures which would obviously destroy the clothing.
If you know any chemists, you can verify this with them.
That being said, hunt from an elevated stand and use the wind and you will be better off and have some extra cash in your wallet.

It's a horse a piece, Scent Blocker actually pays Scent Loc royalties because Scent Loc has patents that Scent Blockers uses.
As mobowhuntr is right, wind is very inconsistent and not true. I hunt where it swirls from 1 moment to the next, plus that elusive buck never comes down the right path you hoped, especially as I try to keep switching my stands. But you can't go wrong with either scent clothing company, it comes down to just want you want. Put it this way, the scent controlling suit can only help you.
