I tend to judge my hunting weekend by the amount of deer seen, regardlessif ashot is taken or not...so with that being said I dont go out on windy days.A deer senses are compromised on windy days, they know this and stay put. I was out a couple weekends ago watching a doe and her young ones feeding at a feeder, Afamous Texas cold(lots of wind)front came in and they scadadled back into the woods.

DISCLAIMER: But, just like human beings, thier are always those few out there that break the rules.

I find the wind's put the deer to bed ,so I'd hunt the bedding area's and creekbed's .But myself I've never really had a whole lot of success on these type of day's .Field's are a waste of time o in these condition's .Deer rely on their nose's and ear's and when their best defence is taken away from them ,they tend to stay low .

It was pretty windy this evening, windier than it was supposed to be (I don't know why I even check the forcast) I saw 15-16 deer, looked to be all does. Most skittish, and out of range.

I still see deer when the wind blows, and definitely during this time of year I wouldnt let much keep me at home. Whenever the wind is blowing hard or it is raining I chose stands where I know the direction the deer will be coming from. Not being able to hear in the wind or rain makes it tough to hunt stands where they could come from multiple directions.
