Default Bohning vanes and the Whisker Biscuit

Is anyone out there utilizing the 2" vanes w/ the biscuit and carbon arrows? I see a TON of guys on TV using this set-up....and I'm .....well...I'm curious! I know th ebiscuit eats up vanes...but I've been told the Bohning vanes will withstand the punishment.

I know there's downfalls to the biscuit...but for a hunting rest I love it. I'd like to hear about anyone using bohning 2" vanes w/ it.

Thanks

jeff

The blazers through the WB is a winning combo. I'm shooting as good or better with this very set-up, plus I use arrow wraps, as I ever have. The blazers are the toughest vane I have seen, and even with my fixed broadheads, I get excellent flight out as far as I can shoot!

I am new to bows. The guy at the shop that set my bow up put that set up on my bow. I have shot it quite bit (with 3 practive arrows) and the vanes seems to be holding up fine. Just my thoughts althoug being new tho this I dont know much.

If your biscuit is eating upyour vanes then you have another problem. A properly tuned WB DOES NOT destroy vanes.

Turtleshell:

Properly tuned? I put a set of quick spins on 3 arrows and ran them through 4 times each. They look like ruffles potato chips (well...that may be a slight exaggeration). Are you saying that my biscuit shouldn't do this to ANY fletchings if it's "tuned properly"?

I'm using the 1.5" blazers with carbons and the biscuit...Work and fly great...I read an article in a hunting mag. that said the blazers were the best for the biscuit...The article said you would loose the least amount of speed with the blazers and they would last the longest.....I like mine...I was using NAP quik-spins(4") and the blazers are just as good or better!!!
