Default whisker biscuit and blazer vanes

i just bought a mathews switchback and am gonna buy me a dozen of prefletched arrows with blazer vanes more than likely. i was wandering how i should get them fletched to shoot from the whisker biscuit, right helical or straight. the reason i only give these two option is im gona buy a fletching jig and its very easy to find the jigs for these two styles. Give me some insight on this and experience tales if you got em.

Definitely straight. You want your fletching to pass through your biscuit as straight as possible. Helical fletchings will cause a lot of resistance through the rest, will be louder, and will probably wear your biscuit out quicker. I've never tried, but I would think that it will drastically effect your flight.

Offset, with the buscuit. Otherwise I would say it really makes no difference.

right helical (or offset)

That's how mine are fletched and I've never had a problem with them in my WB.... I don't know anyone personally that shoots Blazers with straight fletching....

This is right from the Bohning website: "We recommend fletching Blazer vanes with a helical or a 2 to 3 degree offset."

If you have your heart set on blazers that's cool, but you might want to think about feathers instead. They are more forgiving passing through the WB then blazers. The feathers will flex and give as they pass through and then spring back to shape.

2" Blazers are a good marriage with the Whisker Biscuit. I have been running a 4 degree offset with no issues. Just put an extra drop of glue at the front and rear of each fletch.

From my experience fletching blazers the lengthof the vane is so short that the helical or offset is pretty minor. It is almost hard to tell if they are straight or offset.I dont thinkthere is to big of difference with such a short vane. If you were fletching longer vanes then the helicals would probably become more critical through the WB

I fletch my blazers straight with my WB. No problems. I have heard that guys will off set them as much as possible (can't be much I recon with only 2" of contact).

If you are using this for hunting...offset or helical.

Straight fletch is useless for broadheads. The offset/helical is what causes the arrow to sping and stabilizes the broadhead. A straight fletch will do no such thing.
