Default Bowtech Tech29 and Mighty mite pros and cons

I am thinking of purchasing a Tech29 of MM but would like some input from someone how has shot the bows quite a bit before I decide. I have a Patriot but I am looking for something shorter and lighter for stalking and packing in and out with my climber. The MM has more hand shock than the Tech but the tech has a shorter brace and I am wondering how shootable the t29 is for the average archer. what do you folks think?

BC,
I didn't have a problem shooting either bow.....I owned the Mighty Mite and my buddy had the Tech29. I didn't get to really evaluate the Tech29 tho as it was a 28" draw (I shoot 30&quot. I found them both easily shootable for good hunting accuracy......they're hunting bows, not target models. I could shoot my longer 38"+ bows consistently better, but not enough that its gonna matter at 15 yards from 20feet up.
I could keep very tight groups with my Mighty Mite and it was a pleasure to hunt with. I didn't have a choice in the 2 bows as the Tech doesn't come in a 30" draw length, but I personally would have chosen the Mighty Mite anyway due to the brace height edge (forgiveness and clothing clearance) and slightly longer ATA.
They're both speed burners and fling hunting weight arrows very nice......The Mighty Mite had a bit more snap to it, but I suspect that was due to the longer power stroke of my 30" draw vs. a 28", Limbsavers, Leeches and a decent stabilizer put it on par noise wise with most single cams I've shot. It's not as quiet as the Patriot, but not bad at all.
My friend actually gave up the Tech29 in favor of the Patriot, but that's just a matter of 'New Toy' syndrome I think.

EVen tho I don't own one right now, I still feel the Mighty Mite is the best treestand/groundblind type hunting bow on the market......Its the hardest hitting bow in its class even with its 7" brace height, quiet, pretty recoil free, and easily manuverable.
I'm actually debating picking another one up myself.

i have the tech 29 and love it. It did take some getting use to as I dropped way down in BH but the more I shot it the more I loved it. Now i cant shoot for groops any more because I mess up my arrows. Its very fast 295fps shooting gold tip xt's 400gns, 29 in draw 70lbs. I added all the simms goodies its very quite and a pleasure to shoot. All I can say is go shoot one and see if you like it. You have to go with what feels good and will work best for you. Good luck...

For the money bigcountry bowtech came out with their preditor series Tomcat and Black hawk. Tomcat is 31" ATA and the Black Hawk has a 28.5" ATA and both have a 9 1/2" brace height. I bought the Tomcat and love the mobility you get with it. Comes with bowtechs hush package, so its nice and quiet and very smooth shooting. I ended up paying 379 for the Tomcat package. There is a $50 mail in rebate. I am like you, I like to walk the thickets and this bow makes it alot easier to maneuver around.

bigcountry25, I have a Mighty Mite. I shot a T29 and MM when deciding. I felt the MM was "softer" shooting. I also liked the taller brace. As Matt said, with the normal accessories the MM is very quiet. I tried all the hunting stabilizers in the shop, and the Vibracheck Isolator worked the best, IMO. It gives the bow great balance, and removes nearly all recoil and noise. Mine is very accurate and fast. I'm only pulling 55# and shooting close to 265 with a 375 gr arrow. The factory paper stated 304 at 60#, 29". I think either bow will serve your purpose perfectly. I also have a Patriot, but shoot the MM more. I just really like that little bow. Man, I'd love a dual cam version.
I almost forgot to tell you my dislikes. There are none.
