Thanks for the replies guys. This place Im talking about is THICK. I accidentally found it b/c I wanted to look for something else other than my first boring stand. They are mostly bullpines and no spot for a treestand. The direction he came from suggested he crossed the road at some point unless it just cut up that way. Im gonna hunt it next week and look for a more open area. I wont rattle b/c it doesnt work fo me, prolly scares them away like he said. I will just go in there w/ my fingers crossed and might try a ground blind near those scrapes.

That guy must have had an amplifier for that buck to come from 500 yrds away.

I know it's tough, but you just have to make yourself sit it out 10-15 more min.
