No farging clue here.I usethem them here in the mid west right away. Some even have them started now.I believe you canstart them now and they will be used on a regular basis if it is in a area that the deer travel regularly.

Listen to the deer...are they making scrapes yet?
I heard from someone that took soil from one scrape and put it on another and it was very effective...

First off welcome.I would usethe kind of scents that smelland place them on well used trails back in the timber, never on field edges as these are mostly used at night.I have 4 mock scrapes around my stand site on trails and have been working them for about a month now.when Mr.big hoss comes strolling by to scent check for does in estrous in November were gonna have a party

Mock Scrapes can be made nearly anytime but some of THE most effective that you'll make will be there as soon as the animals loose their velvet. I have had some very impressive results from my Mock Scrape tactics and the last few trophy class animals I tagged were shot over these scrapes. THE most effective scents that I've ever used are James Valley Scent Gels. More specifically, JVS Lethal Weapon Gel and Wall Hanger Gel. These scents will out perform others 10 to 1. My advice, get started NOW on the scrapes and you'll soon have some of the better quality animals in the area using them. One very surprising time for many is the peek that I see in this area for scrape activity is actually weeks earlier than what most would say. I have seen some of THE most imressiveanimals of the entire season hit mock Scrape between Oct 6 to 12. Good luck this season

I'll second the James Valley Scents, they work awesome! Then again I might be biased as they are made 20 miles from my house
