Has any one played with the new fixed blade from rocket. The "Ultimate Steel" . I checked 5 shots web sight and didn't see it yet. I picked some up last week to try out this season. They make some pretty big claims. Just curious. Jim

Go to the gear review forum and do a search it should be on the back pages their. Basicly the fly great, are sharp, and the blades fall out in two of my three test materials. I also lost a blade in my block target checking for accuracy! I feel rocket droped the ball on this peticular head.

Thanks for the info on the so called "ultimate steel" heads. I found the review. (the search here leaves alot to be desired, I could not get it to bring any thing up no matter what I tried)
I think I'll go with the nail drivers you recently tested, they sound like a good head, or I'll give muzzy a try. I tried steel force and as you said in your review the heads have almost no bone penetrating ability. At only 15 yards with a 70 pound bow I got around 6 inches penetration in the shoulder.
I am curious about the rocket guarantee. Did they keep there promise? or haven't you heard from them yet? thanks Jim

I have not got around to sending them the heads, but I plan on doing it soon. I will let everyone know it turns out though.

i think i know the blade you guys are talking about.. Small i mean real small steel 100 gr. They're about half the size of my 4 bld. 90 gr. muzzy's. My buddy has them and tho he says they get good penetration into his block. One ofthe broadheads lost 2 blades in one shot. Yep he said he shot it into the block the arrow popped out about 3 in. and 2 of the blades were gonna. Now that could be a good bad thing you know...
