What scents do you recommend for pre-rut. And what have you been most suucessful with getting bucks, and does? I usually go with Tink's, but am wondering if I may be missing something.

i played with scents for a long time and although if used properly and at the right time they are effective.but over all you will find that you spook more deer then you attract, for me no scent is best.if i do use a scent it would be a curiosity scent like vanilla or a just deer scent, not buck-not doe just deer.these kinds of scent are effective all year and you don't run the risk of using a doe in heat scent at the wrong time.just my opinion and its what works for me.

I've used Tinks 69 and Jackies Buck Lure and had success with both. You do have to be real carefull when you use it. Too early and you'll scare everything in the woods off. If you hit it just right then look out. I've had bucks come running to find the stuff.
