gorilla glue,,acetone or denatured alcohol

woulding if any one has used gorilla glue for a vane adhesive,,ive seen it at gander mtn. back in the archery section and thought about trying it,,thought i post here and see if anyone has tryed it and like it before i bought it,,by the way i shoot alum. arrows and maybe a/c/c next year,,
and ive also been wondering which is better acetone or denatured alcohol ive heard of several people using both on this site and wonder which is better,,also have heard acetone is hard on carbon arrows,,would this be some thing i should be worried about if i decide to pick up some acetone,,does denatured alcohol have the same effects on carbon arrows as acetone does,,
one other question,,i pick up some of that ssr shaft cleaner by bohning archery at gander mtn., was wondering if anyone else has tried it and what they thought of it,,and since u have to let the shaft set in the solution if it would be hard on carbon shafts to the point htat i would have to worry about falure of the shaft

gorila glue for vanes? I have used it to build railing for my deck but never would put that stuff on an arrow. It is some good stuff but very hard to clean. It is an expandable glue. kind of dries like that spray foam stuff you buy to fill cracks around old windows and stuff.

Don't try to re-invent the wheel. Bohning Fletch-tite is the standard and is what I use. When I clamp a vane I only wait about 3 minutes and then release the clamp to proceed to the nest vane. I scrape the old vanes off of carbon arrows with a pocket knife. Just be cautious to not dig into the arrow. You don't want an adhesive that is TOO strong as someday you may want to remove it to refletch that arrow.

I haven't used it for vanes other though I would agree that it is a great adhesive. As for the alcholoh vs. acetone question....I used the alcohol at home when I do my own fletching but I use Acetone when I am down fletching arrows at the shop. I don't really see a big difference between the effectiveness of the two.
