Lighted nocks are the coolest things ever

They are legal in Colo. as the onlylawwe have against electric stuff is: "Scopes, electronic or battery-powered devices cannot be incorporated into or attached to the bow."
The other law that we all should be aware of is: "Explosive arrows prohibited."
Dang, there goes that idea

driftrider, the website says that they are 30 grains. Lumenoks say they are around 21 grains. Either way, probably not enough to make you re-tune (maybe). I'm really looking at getting a 3 pack of these - I've got more than a couple arrows lost tin the brush around here. Just can't find them! And the Tracers fit may Easton Axis arrows! Yes!

Well I spoke with another qualified scorer today, and he scores for P/Y (IS A FULL RING WEARING MEMBER) B/C, BTR, TBGR...you get the idea...
His words were this: And I quote.... He and 95 percent of the P/Y scorers out there could give a rats ass to if you used a lighted nock...he is going to measure your deer, and splitting hairs over a damn nock is the most ignorant thing he has heard of in a while... end quote....
I happen to agree with him totally on this subject...
My trophy is my trophy!!! LOL!! I don't care what other people think...

about 5 years ago i emailed the illinois DNR about using knocks that emitted a signal that could be tracked with a receiver. i got a reply from Brenda Potts saying that they are not legal in illinois, but the topic would be brought up in some archery forum that monitors rule changes in illinois. after waiting 2 months, the idea was shot down. she said that a number of the members are traditional archers, and that they saw this as something that would encourage careless shots. i could see her point, but most of us are looking for a pass thru shot for maximum blood. i doubt that lighted knock would be legal

Tuffbroadhead, I won't argue over whether it is a stupid rule or not. I don't care if you use lighted nocks or lighted sights, your the one signing the affidavit should you want one in the P&Yor B&C book. I am just telling you what the rules say.
If bythe quote you made foryour P&Y scorer means he is not going to play policeman and decide who is legal and who isn't I understand that. If on the otherhand however, those words mean he doesn't support the rules of the club, then he should not be scoring for them. I suspect he is implying the former rather than the latter...

I agree myself. I am truly amazed with a lot of people and threir need forprestigeof their name being in a book. I am sure they are just amazed about me for lack of concern for the same. When I was younger I probably felt the same way though. However my 55 year old shoulders love the 80% letoff of my new Switchback. If I kill a monster of 190 points whether they put my name in a book or not does not lessen his score one inch. Nor does it lessen the fact that he is my trophy. And unless he is a world record I doubt if he would bring in very much money anyway. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with wanting a P&Y or B&C deer but if he is taken by that state law then IMHO he is still a trophy. I didn't make their rules and they didn't ask me, this is just my opinion about why all the hype. Not that I could stop shaking long enough to shoot one or clean my pants anyway.

Page 69 Paragraph 7: "Further, with regard to electronics, the Club's updated Fair Chase rule specifically disallows animals taken: 'By the use of electronic devices for attracting, locating, or pursuing game, or guiding the hunter to such game or by the useof a bow or arrow to whichany electric device is attached."
Wouldn't that include flashlights? [&:]
