I agree myself. I am truly amazed with a lot of people and threir need forprestigeof their name being in a book. I am sure they are just amazed about me for lack of concern for the same. When I was younger I probably felt the same way though. However my 55 year old shoulders love the 80% letoff of my new Switchback. If I kill a monster of 190 points whether they put my name in a book or not does not lessen his score one inch. Nor does it lessen the fact that he is my trophy. And unless he is a world record I doubt if he would bring in very much money anyway. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with wanting a P&Y or B&C deer but if he is taken by that state law then IMHO he is still a trophy. I didn't make their rules and they didn't ask me, this is just my opinion about why all the hype. Not that I could stop shaking long enough to shoot one or clean my pants anyway.
