Should I mark the shaft where the cock feather is before refletching the arrow to make sure the cock feather is in the same place on the shaft? If I do not will the arrow fly differently?

It can affect accuracy, but it is easy to fix. If you just fletch it and shoot it, you will more than likely get some fletching contact, even with a drop away. You could mark where the cock feather is, or you can just fletch it and turn the nock so it passes through the rest the same way as it was before.

Bones, zak is somewhat right. You can fletch the arrows and then turn the nocks if it is a carbon arrow. Alluminum arrows have the nock glued on, therefore you will not be able to turn the nock.

I completely forgot about aluminum arrows.

Even some of the aluminum arrows you can turn the nocks, guys. The Easton xx78 for example uses the super uni nock system, and will turn.

Beg to differ. My aluminum XX75 Eastons have a uni-nock and I turn those to line up with the cock feather all the time when I refletch. I still shoot cock feather down even with a drop away.

Grizzlyman, I was just trying to keep it simple for bones. I didn't want him to fletch up an arrow thinking he could turn the nock and it be glued on. Basically, what I was getting at, was he needs to check the nocking system, not ALL nocks can be twisted and usually the ones that cannot are found are found oin alluminumthere are exception yours being one of them.
