hey I'm looking for a new release with a short head, because I have a d-loop and don't want to get any longer. Any suggestions? this will be used for hunting. thanks

IMO, the two best releases in this category are the Tru-Ball Short-n-Sweet and the Scott Rhino. You can't go wrong with either of them. I'm partial to the SnS because it is more adjustable than the Rhino.

You may want to give the Scott Little Bitty Goose a solid look.

I second the Scott little bitty goose. I recommend getting it with the NCS system since it is infinitely adjustable for length as well.

Look HERE or HERE or HERE for the best prices I have found so far.

Scott Itty bitty goose is a good release but it doesn't have a short head. Short-n-Sweet is the best way to go for a short head. Goose is not a short head.

I may have to give all of them a look. Thanks Mike for the link.
