5 Shot, On those modocs. Check the grains on each of the heads. The broadheads are awsome but the tolerances are a little to be desired. I found each head to weigh slightly different. I went back to the shop and had them open several packs of them to get a set that equalled. They are effective , In two years of using them My hunting partner and I killed 4 elk 3 deer 2 bear 1 antelope 3 grouse and a squirrel with them. I shot one of my elk quartering away and almost shot him end to end. The squirrel was almost a pass through but the arrow was slowed by the tree behind it. I think that you will be pleased with the way they fly.

I will weigh them to check everything out. To be fair though most would be suprised at the differnces in weight from head to head in many packs from differnt manufactures.

5 Shot. Let me know what you find out. I am curious. I found some to be 7-8 grains over and some to be 7-8 grains under usually more over than under. Meaning that there can be as much as 15 grains difference between broadheads. We called the company and told them about it. The 125 gr. were weighing on the average about 132gr and the 100 gr. were weighing on the average around 110 or so. with some being alot lighter. I am curious to see if they have watched it any closer. I would like to still use them because the effectiveness was fantastic.

my walmart also had the phantom heads marked down. i picked up 3 packs(100 gr) for $5 each. i would of bought every pack at that price. they did have a bunch of 125 grains left. i was wondering why walmart even carried them, but the post above answered my question. i can tell you they didnt sell at $17.98. now, if it would stop snowing- i could try shooting them.
