I have the cobra xls but it is basically the same modle. I have never experienced any thing but comfort in mine Try adjusting the seat straps up or down. I have mine adjusted all the way down as far as they will go. Email Summit. They have excellent customer service.

I adjust my seat based on what I'm doing, gun or bow hunting. For bow, I like to set it up higher, almost as high as it'll go. Its not quite as comfortable, but you can still sit all day in it and feel like a million bucks at dark when you climb down. For gun, its just the opposite, all the way down for obvious reasons.

As far as the bar digging into your back, not an issue I have come across yet. The seat back is very thick and you don't feel it.

This is by far the most comfortable stand I've ever sat in, hands down.

I've looked at the Viper and am wondering how comfortably can you hold your bow. You can't always hang it. Also, doesn't the rail get in the way when you want to get your bow up to shoot?

I have never had problems with the bar.

yelper.
I don't hold my bow, always hanging where I can reach. The rail has never gotten into the way. I have drawn while sitting down, and didn't have a problem. I like the bar, adds a sense of security.
