I was thinking about going to a pendulum sight. About how far are they good for on the ground. I had heard about 20 yards. Is that right or is it furhter or less?

With the savages, you sight in at twenty yards on the ground. But one thing you want to make sure of is true arrow flight at further distances. Step back to thirty and make sure your arrows are still gouping good, just lower on the target.
I think the toxonics are sighted in at twenty also.
Some of them are sighted in at thirty.

I curently have a Keller and you sight it in at 20 and its good to go out to 30 from a treestand, although my Farthest was 38-40 yds. Also it has 3 pinheads with 5 adjustable positions for ground shooting and I was doing Fair out to 50 yds just tinkering to see if I could come close. But it is somewhat noisy and thats why I' m going to try a savage, I heard they were quieter. Although I had only 1 deer jump the Keller. It shoots like a charm. No guessing the yardage. I' ve been told by a member that the QC savage ranger does what it says it will so now I' m out to get one, always need new and better toys.
