I own a Mathews Legacy and a Hoyt Pro Tec. I' ve got to sell one, but I can' t decide which. They are both great bows that offer different features. The Hoyt is very smooth and quite but not as much so as the Legacy. The Hoyt is faster and atleast just as forgiving if not more. The Hoyt fits my hand better than the Legacy. As you can see, once you start getting into the top of line bows, the differences become more of a personal issue. Shoot some and choose based on what feels right. Good Luck.

Isn' t it awesome that there are so many great bows out there now? I would give the best of the best to the Mathews Q2XL but its a bit heavy for tote' n around. The new Hoyt Utra-tec has really impressed me as well. Now since I don' t have to pick just one bow (lucky guy) I use the Mathews SQ-2 for most hunting (I think it is the quietest and most manuerverable bow Mathews makes...its also a h#$% of a shooter...last two turkeys were at 35 and 33 yards in the head). I use the Hoyt UT and Q2XL for 3D and an MQ-1 for spots.

I' ll stay with Mathews. I have the FX and as far as not being accutate or quiet; my deer this year didn' t even know she was shot; accuracy I have ten arrows in the corner that either need new kocks or vanes - from just one outing.

I know about shooting at multiple spots but I just love the tight groups I get.

All that said, there are many great bows on the market. The reason for this is that we each have different tastes, shooting styles, different hands and so many other differences, so bowyers make as many different styles and types to fit as many of us as possible.

Immagine where we' d be if everyone prefered Fords . . . we wouldn' t have Dodge, Chrisler, Chevy, Cadilack or other vehicles.

Try' em all and find the one that works for you . . . I did.

I own a reflex, made by Hoyt. It' s not the most expensive bow, but i guaratnee you it will be one of the best bows you can get. And i bet you any money, i can down a buck, just as fast, but probably faster (ha ha) as the next guy.

I currently shoot a PSE thunderbolt single cam, but im really thinking about getting a mathews. My buddy is selling his mathews Q2XL fully loaded for 400 bucks and i think i just may take it. I would really like to have a new legacy but dont want to dish out that much cash for a stock bow. I also love the tec series from hoyt, so you really cant go wrong in my opinion which ever you choose, hoyt or mathews

Like everyone elso said shoot the bows if you have the chance! I to am getting a new bow this year. I shot the Hoyt Super Tec & the Magna Tec on Sat. & boy I wish I had the $700 dollars for the Super but that is a little to steep for me so I bought the Magna Tec. Both bows are sweet but the Super Tec is awesome!!! I shot a Mathews Q2XL & Legacy a couple of weeks ago but the Hoyts got my vote for the better to suit (ME). Just shoot them to see what feels better to you.
