I've only bowfished a couple times in WI. Its real good.....WI has a very active bowfishing club that has alot of shoots. Go to Bowfish USA and think there's a link, if not do a search for WI bowfishing Association. They also have alot of photos from their shoots.
Good Luck!

Here's the link for the WI Bowfishing website. WIBFA
I know they have some 2005 shoots listed on the message board.
There are also two WI winter 'fun' shoots coming up. Read about them here... winter shoots

Here in E. Central WI, the carp start rolling about the weekend after Memorial day. I'd guess about a week later for you, depending on water temp. I remember shooting dogfish on the Wi River many years ago around Stevens Point not too long after ice out.

What tempeture to the carp "start rolling." Honestly I dont even know what that means. like i said i know absolutely nothing about bowfishing. I have been looking around and found that castlerock lake somewhere is southern wisconsin is open during the winter and has good carp shooting. Has anyone else hear about this?

Castle Rock is a flowage on the Wisconsin River. I suspect the open water is below the dam. You can see eagles fishing there most all winter. The water stays open but its fast.
