trophy hunter... not doubting you at all, but you really use bore butter to lube the breech plug? You must not shoot too many rounds out of it at any one time before you remove it. I am a little surprised you have not had the thing sieze up on you.

Using BB as a breech plug grease may be a little risky, but if it works for you????

One thing that may allow it to work for you is the quality of the rifle you have and the mating of the breech plug face to the flange in the barrel. If this seals and no-blowback goes beyond that seal - back into the threads you SHOULD be alright, but, if you start getting blow back into those threads - you might be in for troubles....

I gave up on that supplied breech wrench. I carry a small 1/4 inch socket drive with a 2 inch extension.

Id like to be there when Trophy Hunter tries removing his breechplug after 25 shots using 110 gr 777 FFF with Bore Butter on the threads.

I use a grease from Ford that is a hi temp anti corrosive on my side lock and have not had a problem
