Default building rifles.....

i know a few of you guys made your own rifles here.....i did alot of work to my tc 50cal hawken flinter and redid most of it....but never built one but would LOVE to........im starting to slowly save so by the time late flintlock season is over i have a few hundred i can spend and buy a kit gun or parts to make a rifle.....i want a flinter.....in a small caliber so i can whack squirrells in the head with it.....i was thinkin 36 cal? not sure on that......never shot anyhting less then a 50......i want something very accurate and i think squirrel hunting with a flinter would be a BLAST.....but i want a flintlock.....and want a GOOD lock.....not something that is iffy or may give me grief....any suggestions?? oh ya......i want a kentuky long rifle style.....long barrel and full stock clear till the end......i looked at dixie gun works and found some....but im here for some advice.....what would make a fine squirrel rifle?? i need accuracy and a good lock.......FLINTLOCK.....that will be SUCH a blast.....and i used my hawken project as my winter project and it was great.....sitting in the garage them cold winter days after all the huntings over working on the gun.......it was great.......so i want to do it again this year......and want a squirrel rifle......thanx alot......im looking for makers or the best route to go....and also caliber ect........all i know is i want a flinter in a squirrel caliber....accurate and a good lock......but dont know who makes what i want or anything...thanx

Go to Track of the Wolf, Pecetonica Rifle Works, alnd Flintlocks, Inc (Jim Chambers). I have built form TOTW parts and a Chambers kit. Good stuff, but might get kinda involved, depending on your skills.
