Who started posting about the cheap CVA Accura in this thread? No CVA product belongs in this thread at all.
It was in the first post by the OP. It kept going by guys talking about it. Like your post.

It was made in USA, and i am proud to own it, it will not be given away. However, i must admit to be disappointed in Knight publishing a false weight for this rifle. Had i known the truth, i may not have purchased it, but then again i may have; we will never know.

One last comment. The CVA mountain rifle will never reside in my house. It is overpriced for an import. Myself, i am willing to pay a higher price for a rifle made in USA, but cannot for a rifle made across the ocean. If the CVA rifle was less expensive like they once were, i would perhaps have one, but at today' prices i will not. Someone wrote CVA has their rifle made across the ocean, and thus they cost less to the consumer. This isn't true for the mountain rifle. It is made overseas and thus cost less to make, but the savings isn't passed on to the consumer, rather the monies goes into the pockets of the owner/management.
Carlos is selling the MR I think for around $430. I paid $410 for a V2 2 years ago. Price hasn't changed much.

So I assume then that you don't shoot bh209 anymore since it is foreign made.

My V2 cost considerable less than $400 with free shipping and no tax.

There were some deal through the years. I bought mine at Cabelas, and wasn't looking for a deal. I wanted to buy it at Cabelas, because it's easy to return if I don't like it.

They'll be deals on the MR as soon as the supply is greater.

in the true sense of the word foreign you are right. I guess i never considered canadian made as foreign in the same sense as China or Spain etc. My new Excaliber crossbow is canadian made .
I know this wasnt addressed to me but it caught my attention since I just got the crossbow

I have the itch, because the DOW gave me a licence to hunt the archery season with a scoped crossbow. I really like the month long season, and the tags are either sex for deer and elk. ML and rifle seasons don't have that.

So, i'm thinking hard on it.

flounder33 post about BH brought to my mind that after one purchases a CVA rifle, one then must purchase a breech plug that will reliably ignite BH for $35 plus shipping. Once upon a time i used to modify the QRBP for $25 including shipping, but that seems kinda cheap now, bein's how the modified plug is better than the BH plug.

The link shows how one can do the modification, but one should probably come up with a better idea than the wedges.
