It was made in USA, and i am proud to own it, it will not be given away. However, i must admit to be disappointed in Knight publishing a false weight for this rifle. Had i known the truth, i may not have purchased it, but then again i may have; we will never know.

One last comment. The CVA mountain rifle will never reside in my house. It is overpriced for an import. Myself, i am willing to pay a higher price for a rifle made in USA, but cannot for a rifle made across the ocean. If the CVA rifle was less expensive like they once were, i would perhaps have one, but at today' prices i will not. Someone wrote CVA has their rifle made across the ocean, and thus they cost less to the consumer. This isn't true for the mountain rifle. It is made overseas and thus cost less to make, but the savings isn't passed on to the consumer, rather the monies goes into the pockets of the owner/management.
Carlos is selling the MR I think for around $430. I paid $410 for a V2 2 years ago. Price hasn't changed much.
