From what I found this morning DIKA COOP is a major company in Bergara, Spain and very well could be the parent company for the whole works.

When you look at the busineses registered in Bergara, Bergara Barrels is not listed but DIKAR is.

DIKAR is a major supplier of: Firearms - Ammunition -Projectiles -Explosives - Fireworks firearms ammunition projectiles explosives fireworks

You bought the lightweight. Quite a dent in the wallet. It looks nice though.

No problem with 150yds. More like 100yds for me as max. Closer is the goal. I like to hear them breathing.
Ya I did and yes it is... but back in the younger days the centerfire rifles I bought were far from cheap also and in these days I hunt all year with a ML - might as well have one of the better guns.

I believe most of the increase from the regular Knight is in the extrea machining GM has to do on the barreled action, tighter tolerances and the cost of the lightweigt stock and the aliminum bedding incorporated in the stock.

The other thing if I would just wait a few months I could get it cheaper from a mail order place than getting it from Knight. Knight holds their price up so distributors can charge less and still make money...

If you're like me, and I have the money. Waiting is not an option.

Sabotloader, where would you recommend as far as the mail order places you mention. I see that Cabelas is now stocking Knights and they are the same price as from getting them directly from Knight.

There are other places that will have the gun as soon as it becomes available. Cabela's will always be on the high end of the mail order business.

I thought Bass Pro was handling them as well as a couple of ather places... when I remember or discover them I will let you know...

Keep your eye on Bud's. He used to carry Knight, and his prices are usually good.

Cabelas prices are only good when they go on sale.

Grooves in CF monolithic bullets are usually to keep the pressures down and achieve the same fps. They also help keep fouling down a little bit too. Try running a smooth copper bullet through a sizing die and then try a similar bullet with grooves. The smooth bullet is noticeably harder to size if all other factors are equal.

It's still the subject of this thread no matter how you try to carry the thread away from the topic in my original post,, which is SOP for CVA boys .
