The 870 Express shotguns have a lot of issues too. Especially with the chambers, and the crappy finish. However, the Wingmasters are pretty good.

That being said, I've heard nothing but good from friends that have Benelli's, but at the same time I've never gone out and researched them, so they may have quite a few issues too who knows.

That being said, I've never heard anything bad about the Wolfs from anyone that's actually owned one. I have a few buddies with them and they all really like them.

You should have seen the explosion from the 45cal 300gr PB Plat. It hit low and caught some bark on a log in front of the target.

It literally looked like a grenade went off. I have a pic of the target that got splattered somewhere. It destroyed the target.
I know first hand about what you are talking... My hunting partners uses those darn things in his 54 TC Hawken, he likes them because they are easy to load. But, we spend a lot of time looking for his animals sometimes - even with well placed shots. He is an excellent shooter - but the ease of loading and the availabilty of them for his 54 have him sold.

My Accura deer load is 100gr blackhorn with the 245gr Powerbelt behind it. Ordered 700 bullets today, most of them hollow points so i can cast my inserts and plug them up right away.

He asked what was accurate, 150gr T7 with the 245gr Powerbelt in the wolf is a monster. I wouldnt be afraid to use it

Normally use the 295s with the 90gr blackhorn charge, i think if i added some more powder it would help.
Here he goes again lmao..

They're great when they work well from my friend's account. I've heard a lot of good things about them too. Like anything, the more complicated something is, the more chance something will go wrong, whether it be a car, washing machine or whatever. My 870 was my first and what I love about it beside durability and performance is the simplicity of cleaning and maintenance. With no experience, I was able to bust the thing apart, clean every piece of it after my first hunting season and reassemble it no problem.

The 45cal 300gr PB Plat really isnt that bad with 95gr or less depending on distance and ive got a bunch of them. I keep them as a quick backup bullet for the 45s.

That one has a good SD and just like any other conical it performs good at the correct velocity. Its very accurate too.

My problem is the cost and the inflated numbers CVA boasts from heavy charges when they know its a bad idea to push them that hard. The PR Ultimate 45cal 360gr smokes the 300gr 45cal PB in every way with the right charge and is a tad cheaper.

PR isnt exactly innocent of inflated ballistics either but its hard to imagine a 45cal 360gr hunk of lead not getting the job done at even 1300fps.

Neither IMO is a Premium product and so the price should not reflect that it is one. Ive never seen so many negative reviews from any other true premium priced projectiles and ive never had to mod them to make them perform as advertised either.

As for the OP

I kinda like the newer model Wolf. It fit me better than other similar guns and it is much nicer than older ones. I would suggest charges in the 80-100gr range if it shoots well. I only push one of my "carbines" hard and only because it shoots/kills so well with that load.

I hope you enjoy your Wolf. I really cant see any reason why you wont for its intended purpose. If they had one with a TH stock in 45cal, i would probably have one too.

Mountain i have posted information for the other poster, which is do not listen to you and your constant CVA/ PB speil! as i said in earlier posts on this thread be honest with people and yourself. until you do i will continue to expose you for what you truly are! a undercover sales jockey for CVA and PB's.when i see you start stating in your posts that there are much better alternatives to PB'S.then i will back off until then... aint going to happen..and yes i shoot the 45/250 gr deep curls out of my Triumph and my wifes knight! even with the sabots much cheaper than PB's and performance is lite years ahead of a PB..suprised your not pushing baraska scopes here also.

Again your not telling the truth mountain! show me one of those posts! the only one is you and you know the reasons why! again be honest and stop spreading your PB spiel, especially to newcomers to this sport! and openly tell them there are better lead bullets at lower prices that perform well and are not limited to low powder charges.until then live with it!

Not lying, i got your post on Greybeard outdoors where you tell a guy that youre 51 years old and still get into fist fights over people saying something that you dont agree with!
So they are falling behind on times?? 8)

CVA falling behind, I think not. I have an Accura as well as a Triumph and the Accura will out shoot the T/C has a better trigger and barrel. The only reason I tried the Triumph is Cabela's had em on sale for $279
Statements like these are why at 51 years old i still believe in fist fighting! i call BS and won't say anymore on the subject!

You're a hot head, simple as that.
