Last night I was watching Realtree Outdoors and David Blanton uses electrical tape on his ML. I use the balloons though.

I use finger cots and I have several packs of bore protectors that are thicker

Probably already mentioned in here but I use a muzzlemitt - I prefer the traditions 'rain gear' because the boot is a little thicker than a finger cot and holds up a little better...
