Default Thompson "Cheapshots"

Anyone have any experience shooting these? As the name implies, they arevery cheapat about $4.00 per 20 pack. I shot about a dozen today from the 115yd mark. Used about 90grains of Triple7 3f. It was very windy and bitter cold today, so I only stayed out for an hour or so. I did manage to fill up the target with holes, but very inconsistent groupings. I'll try again on the next calmday I can get out. I'll blame the groupings on the wind for now. It was great tobe outdoors anyhow.

Pierre902 the T/C Cheapshots are actually a good all round deer hunting bullet as well. They are a pure lead hollow point and expand well. Many rifles shoot them very well. Keep trying them you might actually like them. I spoke to a couple people on line that hunt with them and all of them that used the Cheap Shots said they worked excellent on deer.

I always have a box or two of them lying around from a clearance sale that I've hit the season before , they're a great cheap hunting round , and excellent for training kids to shoot sabotted bullets.

They shoot very well and you can take the leftovers into the field with no worry.

I used the .50 cal for the first time last year. They group very well in my MDM. I use 100 gr.APP. Killed a doe at 20 yards. The damage to the lungs was extensive and the exit hole about the size of a fifty cent peice. For the price you cant beat them.

Not all guns like 777 I know mine don't. Might try couple of loads up and down or a different powder. Lee
