Nice looking gun... tell me how the bolt works - is like a Knight -pull back - or is there a "t" handle..
I know you are into big conicals - is that the purpose of this gun?
We just never see any Whites out here. I do not think I have ever handled one. We lead such a sheltered life in the west. It still must be tough to get over the Rockies...

Thanks guys. Pittsburghunter - it came with breechplugs for 209, musket, and #11s. Had the 209 factory installed, took it out and put the #11 in.
Sabotloader, yep. Big boys again.
Here's a modified pic of an identical rifle Doc has. You can see the forward part of the action only. The cocking lever pulls straight back to cock andhas detented slot at the very rear to act as a secondary safety (in addition to the normal thumb safety on theBold trigger). Engaging the secondary safety must beadeliberateaction.

OK - I see it now the lever.... and I guess I knew you would be throwing big chunks of lead.
Have you had one of these before?
What kind of recoil are you looking at?
Be interested in what you think about after you shoot it?

I've not had a 97 or a .504 before but shooting one is not at all unpleasant. I'll be using basically the same weight bullets in this rifle as I do in my .451 98. That action is considerably more compact than is the 98 and with 2" extra barrel length, both the rifles are nearly identical in length as well as weight. Conicals will be in the 460 to 500 grain weight range and charges will probably be around 75 grains of 2F T7 or Pyrodex P. Shooting a load like that in an Encore would rock your world but the Whites handle them with ease.
Here's a pic that hopefully shows the cocking and secondary safety feature better:
