Thanks for the info - I was going to clean the area with alcohol, maybe even a quick swipe with laquere thinner - to ge the oils off.
Right now, just one outing remember, I am pretty happy with the gun. I really do not think it shoots any better than the Remingtons, but does pack around easier. It is like my 24" Rem with a 28" barrel... I am still deciding if I like the QLA thing or not.
I have some questions about the bore I want to ask you also but i need to verify what i think I am seeing.
Breech plugs are another discussion also.
