I know of a perfect sleeping bag that you should use. But I can't remember the name of it so I'll have to ask my father-in-law. He let someone use it about 13 or so years ago, man it was so good they (inlaws) just couldn't stop talking about it!

A light fleece blanket inside your bag will lower the temp rating of your bag if yours is not warm enough. They are very light but will give you the edge on the cold weather.

I think it was an army sleeping bag from the spanish-american war. It was made out of a material that had many of the same insulating qualities as tupperware plastic wrap except for it wasn't waterproof.[>:] Father-in-law said pack light since we are going on horses. Little did I know at that point. Whooooooeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!! That was one cold night...got my bull in the morning though.

Seems like my brother-in-law and I used that bag for traction a couple years back when we got stuck on a duck hunt

Unfortunately, the summit bag is over 7 lbs and bulky. Not ideal for a pack in hunt. Sounds great for camping at the end of the road.
