Official Team Tip 1 Over! Thread (29)

I don't know why I was thinking it started at the end of this month. I really wish that I lived in an area that I could hunt in the morning. I am about 2 hours away from my closest hunting spot. Really sucks. I have access to some public this year near my house but it is only for 1 week and the spot isn't that good. Not sure if I will even go check it out or not.
I will be heading a few hours south wednesday night for a Thursday & Friday hunt. Actually staying at my ex-wifes house for those days since she lives about 10 minutes away from where I hunt. Hopefully it will be a productive trip.

Good luck on on your hunting trip !! Does the public land near you get pounded by other hunters?? We try not to over look anything as it really changes from one year to the next but then we are mostly ag here. Heck it changes a lot from one month to the next as the season progresses. The waterfoul season started last weekend for resident. This weekend is the waterfoulstarter for Non-resident. Things will really be changing now when they start running all over the country pressuring the deer. I've seen cruddy spots turn into hot spots due to it... so another reason not to over look anything.
Anyways best of luck. That goes for everyone hunting also.

The public spot I am heading to is a little busy on the weekends but not terrible. I wanted to get out before the weekend so it should be pretty empty.

Good luck to all you guys just starting your seasons, I wish you all the best of luck. Dad keeps telling me to go when another family member is there, but work is still there as well as the rest of life. He has good days and bad days, but we're hoping to just have him as long as possible.
He made told my brother and I that he made his own arrangements for people to be around this weekend as it was going to be the first cool weekend here and possibly even a frost, and he wants us both out hunting...."HIS ORDERS". So I'm thinking I might get out Sat AM or evening or both....need some woods time for some reflection.

But I was able to draw my bow last night so I think I am good to go. I only have to draw once right.
Hopefully Ill get a buck but if a doe walks by I wont hesitate.
