Hopefully it is!
Ihad another productive hunt tonight, saw 6 does from the stand but they all kept their distance, i think im gunna move my ladderstand just a bit to get it closer to their POE in the field.I also saw a HOG of a woodchuck enter and leave the field 3 separate times, im not sure what his deal was.
That makes my season total 27 deer on 13 hunts. 12 does, 12 fawns and 3 bucks.
I dont think im going to be able to get back in the stand until Friday morning
, I work and have fire training on Monday and Tuesday, doctors appointment on Wednesday morning followed by a fire department meeting, and workplus more fire training on Thursday. But that will give the woods time to cool down and also allow me to hang some more stands.

Sounds like some of you guys are getting some good hunting time in. Me on the other hand, have not. I did not get out this weekend. Was going to go yesterday, but I was very tired. I went home after a weekend of camping, turned on fox, watched the first 3 quarters of the bears game, and slept till 5. My girlfriend came over and she cleaned my house while I was sleeping! I was happy! I might be getting out tomorrow after work.

Looks like it is supposed to rain here the next couple days. I guess I wont be getting out until thursday. The only reason I'm stressin it at all is just because I am pretty much done with hunting after December 13th this year. I'm not going to be able to leave my pup un attended for too long. Plus I just like getting out into the woods!

I know the feeling, last night was my first day not hunting, and i wont be able to get in the woods till Friday morning [:@], its killing me but its helping out with the pressure.

I'll be out this weekend in the evenings, would love to spend all day out in the woods but the grandson and I are taking the hunter safety course during the day. So far I've seen a total of 10 deer, a half dozen or so are out in a field that's city property and I can't hunt it, can't tell if any bucks are in the group. Saw a nice doe and a yearling crossing the road at dusk Sunday. Still early so I'm not sweating it yet.

If the temps stay in the 60's tomorrow, I should be out after work. It looks like it is going to warming up here on the weekend, so I will be hitting it in the morning while it is still chilly. I also need to check my trail cam again tomorrow. It was was in the high 50's around here last weekend, so I am hoping that I got some pretty good action on cam.

Well, I've been seeing the deer, lots of Does, yearlings and several bucks. Just nobody I've wanted yet, Last night I had 8 Does cruise by me, pesky skeeters still flying around, I am going to buy a Doe tag today so come this weekend I plan on letting the air out of Jerky, I've seen her a couple of times. also time to buy another stand. Harvest has picked up here, lots of first planting soybeans coming out, corn starting to go, need a frost to kill the milo so they can get going on it, it will still be late Oct. before that happens, double crop beans and milo are all a long ways off from harvest. oh, and most of the wheat has been drilled and is coming up nicely.
Siman, it happens......dont worry about it. Chalk it up to experience and learn the lesson, it all any of us can do. I hope you stick a pig!
I am going for a walk today, itsover a mile back into my honey hole. the only way in is to walk till they get the beans off, need to check the rub lines and will do some ground hunting (no stand in there)
Best of luck to you all!!!!

Good luck to all you guys,
I went and picked up some more gear today (never ending proccess
), and im about to go hang 2 stands at the property i wounded that buck at. Its been raining all morning, so that should help with my scent control.

This is a map of the location im going to hang stands today. Since its raining, im not too worried about spreading scent. The red star is where i wounded that buck last week. The yellow stars are proposed stand sites that im going to check out, and the green star is an old permanent metal stand that i need to check out.
Any hints or suggestions would be greatly appreciated,
