Ihad another productive hunt tonight, saw 6 does from the stand but they all kept their distance, i think im gunna move my ladderstand just a bit to get it closer to their POE in the field.I also saw a HOG of a woodchuck enter and leave the field 3 separate times, im not sure what his deal was.
That makes my season total 27 deer on 13 hunts. 12 does, 12 fawns and 3 bucks.
I dont think im going to be able to get back in the stand until Friday morning
, I work and have fire training on Monday and Tuesday, doctors appointment on Wednesday morning followed by a fire department meeting, and workplus more fire training on Thursday.
But that will give the woods time to cool down and also allow me to hang some more stands.
Very true. I won't get to hunt as much as I did last year cause of my different school schedule. But it's like you said- it gives the woods time to rest and lessens the stress on the herd. I MAY go out Wednesday afternoon- not sure yet. Depends on whether or not I need Econ and Pre-Calc tutoring. BUt I'll be in the woods Friday afternoon all day Saturday Monday afternoon and Tuesday mornin. This week can't go back fast enough!
