Not just a Friday build, but a Friday afternoon!!

You know, it is just my luck that I would kill the biggest buck last year, because with you guys out there it was total luck that one of you didn't shoot one bigger. Now that there is a new bow on the line, I probably won't get within 100 yards of a biggin'. Seriously, I don't care who gets it as long as someone does because that means we won AGAIN!!!

Season starts here 29th of September, but I really won't start buck hunting until mid-late October. I am still begging Rob to let me enter a caribou, but for some reason he isn't responding to my PMs[8D]

And who ever wins it, if its not me, then I won't be to proud to accept there old bow to replace my 97 bear. Just kidding. I am thinking about replacing it after this season though. Its tough using a right handed bow when your completely left dominate. I lose focus in my right eye after about 10 seconds. Problem is, trying to convince my wife to let me spend the money on a new bow when she doesn't like it when I go hunting in the first place.

I am left eye dominate but I also shot right handed. It can be a pain, but that was the way I learned. If you get I new bow I have to say I am loving my Mathew Drenlin.....

Mine is the 15th of September as well. I never really see the big ones very much early on but I will be trying anyway. It's better than sitting at home most of the time. About Oct 25th to Nov 9th is when I will be really looking for that big one.

I have a feeling Huntingson or Deerhntr will score the big one this year. If we are in the running for a win I will shoot a smalller deer if it means someone on our team will get a new bow and we will get the win.

I have been cruising the other teams forums and I have never seen so many teams that want to unseat the champs as this year. They are all talking that it doesn't take a big buck, just a lot of the team connecting to win. So it looks like to win again, we (I particularly) need to score. Are you all setting good limits on yourselves or as long as its legal its down. For me, I was going to hold out for what looked 120" or better and may do so for the the first few weeks until we fall behind. If we do, then if its legal and decent, its mine.

Pretty much a buck will have to score 125" or more for me, but if some big mature buck with a funky rack comes by he is going down b/c I love racks with character.

I really think it will take 800+ and maybe 900 to win the contest this year. I also think that team 43 is our biggest competition. Germ, Shed, GMMAT, etc, etc. Just Germ and Shed could make almost 300" alone. Good thing we've got BEagle, MNPurple (who is my odds on favorite for biggest buck), drhntr, Wheatley, TX, Jester, LTK is due, Ron will show up his son... man the more I think about this we are in business.

OK, what are the bets for our total end of the season inches closest to without going over? I am in for 811". Anyone else want in the pool?

849 2/8. For my any mature buck will work. My goal is for 120+, but remember in the Texas Hill Country the average buck will only go about 110 - 115.

I"ll shoot for 842". BB is going to start us off with that 140" mulie hes been seeing, to take some pressure off of us.

I bought a new sight for my son, and we are having one hell of a time getting it sighted in right. His first two shots are good, then the third is like way off course. I thought maybe it was his arrows, so I numbered them, changed order and had him reshoot with the same result. So now I am going to try and use my rifle bore sight and put it in a plane arrow to try and get it sighted in that way. Any ideas on this method, good or bad?
