You guys ought to try a German Shorthair! Mine is now three years old and is starting ever so slightly to calm down. I tell you what though, you get her in a CRP field and she is a whole different dog. She will not stop and will hunt all day if I let her.

I've got a 5 year old lab/weimaraner mix and a 2 year old pure weimaraner, both girls. The pure bred is a freak of a dog. She will run until she falls over with exhaustion, which she never actually has done. I think she could run for 6 days straight without a break. It is neat to watch, until you want her to relax, then it is a total pain in the neck. My mix is great at sniffing out blood trails, which works out great since I am colorblind.

This will be my last day on for a couple of weeks since I am leaving for my caribou hunt. You guys take it easy and hopefully when I get back there will be BB and MN on the scoreboard!!!!

He was on here on Monday. I bet he is out chasing those velvety mule deer. Hopefully having a good time.

Have a safe trip Huntingson. I know you will have fun. Us poor smucks have to stay back here and watch others who get to hunt already.
