My humble apologies, teammates.
I have burned my tag using my rifle. We are only allowed the one buck, so I can't contribute. The rut is just getting wound up here and I was just beginning to have fun trying to find a big boy to put an arrow into. But then I saw this guy from over half a mile away and no chance to get close with archery gear. So I went for my rifle.
I am weak and now I'm going to eat myself out of my depression.

Nice critter canuck!!!!!!!! It is the same way here in MN only 1 buck. That is why I have been holding out so long, but my patence is running low. Still seeing those boys they are just a wee bit more educated now.

Very nice buck, Canuck. I like the dark antlers. Too bad about the contest, but meat in the freezer is the reason we all do this, right?
TeeJay, I feel your pain. My patience is running pretty low, too. Unfortunately, all my big bucks seem to have disappeared and been replaced by a raft of button bucks. I've got some antlerless tags so I'm thinking about feeding my freezer while I look for something with decent antlers.

Thanks for your compliments, guys. I'm still coming around to check things out - and to root for you. Maybe those other members are just biding their time for the right buck at the right moment. Go team!
