Default headed for camp

im leavin in about an hour for eustis, maine for a week. the deer are huge but few and faaaaaar between. we are more apt to come home empty handed but a week of tracking big canuckbucks is worth it then when i get back down here it'll be on like donkey kong biotch! i heard they had only tagged about 20 deer in just over a week of hunting......[&:]hopes are high though. well, im out

bad news!! we got up to camp and the frst thing we did was go down to pnes marlet and see how many bucks and what they were weighing up at this year, also, northern maine is bucks only...so anywyas, only 30 bucks had been killed. so we were talkin w/ ppl and what not and last winter they were finding deer yards w/ 200-300 dead white tails........not good. they igure the heard took a 45% kill rate last winter. so it went to 3-6 deer per sq. mile to none or 1 deer per sq. mile. needless to say between me and my father and miles of burned off boot leather we saw one lamb....i guess its time to get serious down here now and put one on the hangin' pole!
