I'm a big squirrel hunter. And over the past few months, the only squirrels I ever see are the ones running at 200,000 mphor sleeping! And I went out at 11:00PM (not to hunt) and I saw what a regular day of squirrel hunting should be... squirrels cutting and barking, some small gray squirrels playing on dead trees, and some squirrels digging at the ground. Does anyone know whats going on?!?

I've noticed that in our area too. Lately there have been squirrells everywhere but a couple of weeks ago there weren't any.

Thats why i've always hunted them in the late morning, or early afternoon. The place i go i also deer hunt, and when im in there i never see them till after a few hours. Bright side is you dont have to get up that early.

I deer hunt and squirell hunt at the same time. I put a sling shot in my backpack and got some marbles and shot at them while i was sitting in my treestand. Gives ya something to do while your waiting for the deer and doesn't spook the deer because its silent. Squirells get anoying when your sittin in a tree stand waiting for that big buck and 2 squirells are chasing each outher around ure stand. Sounds like a deer to me haha.
