those little red squirrels??
I'm not sure if they are considered "red squirrels" or "pine squirrels"but the ones that make that god awful chatter, are small and red in color and always chase fox and grey squirrels away.
Well I have never shot those before, but are they good to eat also, like the greys and fox?

I never have just because I can't shhot enough to make a meal. They are too small. I shoot them so I can sit in peace and quiet when deer hunting plus to get out in the woods early.

"so they taste just like fox/gray squirrel then?"
I haven't had a gray or fox squirrel since I left Wisconsin as a kid 30 years ago! If memory serves, these little pine squirrels tastes like... well, like squirrel. Give em a try.I've been told by many they taste like pine, but futher interrogation has always determined that those people have never actually eaten one andhypothesizing what they think they would taste like. lol If you want a real treat, fry up some chicken and save the grease. Slow-fry the squirrel in the chicken grease. You'll get the best of both.
