No! It sucked for turkey! But i kinda expected that since my dad has never gotten a turkey in the spring. I heard a couple gobbles a few mornings...thats it...lots of birds, squirrels, chipmunks, salamanders, and we almost ran over a frog! Even though I didn't get anything it was a fun first season!

It was my first serious Spring Gobbler season. My first hunt other than the youth day I sat and called to 2 gobblers at the other side of the field I was on but never came, since they were w/ hens. Other than that I missed a shot at a jake. Saw a lot of birds and did a little scouting for shotgun/muzzleloader season.

my turkey season sucked!!! the friday night before the jr. hunt here in pa, me and my buddy went out to roost birds. we got 2 birds all fired up from about 100yds away. rather than spook them, and screw up the next day, we set up. the cam in, and within 10 minutes they were 5yds away. i was sitting behind a log, and they got close enough that i couldve reache dout and strangled one. lol they stuck around for a little bit, then a hen pulled them away. both were really big birds.
we went out the next morning. we heard tons of birds, but nothing came in. we were so close, but then, just as if someone had flicked the switch, they all shut up.
the next weekend i didnt go out. the weekend after i went to my buddys, buddys house ( a mutual friend). well, we were up partying a little late ( 2am), but we still got up at 4am. we went out, and i was still kind woozy and walking funny
down the road, but i went anyhow. we got set up, and i fell right asleep. i guess that there was a gobbler that had come in to about 50yds, not close enough for a 2 3/4.
to cut my long story short, i didnt get anything, and this season SUCKED!!!!![:@]
