Default Soil Ph

I just did a soil test today and the Ph for my future plot is right around 6. I plan on planting a clover/chicory blend this spring. I want to get the Ph up to about 6.5, how much lime do you guys reccommend I put on my site. It is about 1/4 acre in size. The plot is located in western Maryland and the soil type is clay. The soil also stays relatively moist.
Thanks

Look on the soil test if you recieved it from a laboratory, if not consult with your local extension agent for recommendations. They work with the local farmers on a daily basis and may know the area well. Remember, the sooner you get the lime down on the soil the quicker it will start working. It will take at least 6 months and possibly 18 months for the lime to take effect.

On 1/4 acre Try 500 lbs, that is a ton to the acre and that is usually what farmers apply about every 3rd year, just keep it up and be consistent

buy in bulk, don't buy it bagged.

bulk = $6/ton
bagged = $3/bag
bag = 50 lbs

A 40# bag of limestone at Lowes is $1.40 buying 12 bags is what 16.80 and for that small amount it would be a lot easier to fool with than messing up your truck , with all than fine screened dust that you will never get completely out,,, whatever....
