Timbercruiser is a sure buck hunter. He has told you one of the best kept secrets on killing big bucks. Clean out a spot just like he is talking. Yes! it is a lot of work but it will pay off major! Clean it out and have your soil tested. Pay the extra money for lime and ferilizer and work the little extra to get it in there. Next I would buy Massive Buck Mix from Jackson's food plot seed and plant this. Make sure you lime heavily......put up a motion camera and I am 100% positive you will have bucks in that food plot that you have never seen!
You can also put out Hold N Grow mix to make a bedding area with food inside there too. Try it .....it will work! www.trophydeerhunt.com Contact Jarod at 618-672-4755 for seed mixes

oak woods,
Clover would be a good choice. The beans will only last a very short time then you will have to replant. You can either buy one of the ready mixed wildlife seed blends or do a little research and find out what types of clovers grow best in your area.
