I would get inside my property about 100 feet so the plots can't be hunted from the state land and lay out a couple of food plots. Consider dominant wind directions, ease of approach to the stands and cover. Then get a dozier and clean out my plots of at least a couple acres each. Do your soil samples and adjust with lime as needed as soon as possible as it takes lime time to work. Then this spring you can plant clover, soybeans, iron clay peas or anything else you choose.

Like timbercruiser said, food plots would work really well. Even smaller 1/2 acre plots will work great but of course that will depend on your deer population density. I like the food plots in the 1/2 to 1 acre range because the deer feel more comfortable using these plots during the day knowing they have cover close by. Irregular shaped plots are best also remember you will be shooting across these fields so don't make them too long.
