Here you go kdsberman. This stuff was almost waist high in Oct. and there were some massive turnips in there. I just hope the deer figure out that they are suppose to eat them.

crabclaw, that is a VERY nice looking plot! Is Honey Hole an annual then? Definetly interested in planting some.

Yes Kdsberman the honey hole is a annual. I planted this on Aug 20th, and was blessed with a rain shower an hour later, and like I said earlier I could not believe how well it grew. I got alot of trail cam pics on this plot this fall so I know the deer are hitting it. I have heard others say that the deer will dig the turnips right out of the ground, I'm waiting to see this.

Crabclaw, do you have to do any maintenence on Honey Hole as far as doing any mowing or anything like you do clover? Or do you just plant and hunt? Thanks

Awesome. Thanks for the help. Hopefully my plot will look half as good as yours does.

Beautiful plot. I also planted a plot with Honey Hole this year. It turned out almost as nice as your's but this was the first year the field hadn't laid fallow for nearly ten years. I had alot of oats coming up from the farmer spreading his horse manure during those preceding years. The deer are really hammering the plot now that my clover is dead and not much else is out there for them to eat. I will be planting this stuff every year as well as soybean, clover and corn.
