What to plant next year???

Default What to plant next year???

My buddy and I have a new spot opened for a food plot that used to be crop field. It will get decentsunlight and is between two fingers of woods andison a hilltop somewhat. any suggestions on what to plant here??what is your favorite seed blend??most success with??

Assuming you what this for hunting a cereal grain (my pref. is Triticale), brassica for the sweettooth, and a winter pea for the additional protien.

Now it would be better to know what your goals are to look more in def.

I live in western Canada and last year I planted turnips. They grew great. it is a great winter food to get them through the hard times. Chicory was great as well. It looked like a lawn mower went over in early fall. Kale also worked very well as did birdsfoot trefoil. The deer started in the BF, then to the turnips and kale. Of course the chicory was all eaten up
