Hi Ron -
Yes Our corn is an honest 2 weeks behind ( for the north that is )- and someearsthekernals are still in Milk stage though most are in dough. We planted 100 day corn onMay 30th I think. So we are pushingit! Al least its not our livelhood. The avg first killing frost here is 2nd or 3rd week in Sept.
The beans the deer did not devour came in real good. I do not know the variety - I don't remember it, I'm sorry. The bag was white, and the lettering was red. Thanks for your help & tips - we are still learning.
Take care -
Sean

Thanks Monte - means alot coming from you.
Do you have any Grouse Pics? I know that in some past years Turkey hunting - I've had grouse drum on logs or stone fences within yards of me. Has this happened to you before? \

FH, I have heard many grouse drumming and have found their logs. I always swore that I would set up and try to get some pictures, but that has not happened yet. Maybe someday. I do love hearing them drum.

Dan -
Thats a cool picture. In some of the deeper sections of our woods/swamps - we get trees that started as seedlings on fallen logs. We end up with trees with exposed roots - uplifted - and reaching into the ground, decades after the "starter log" is gone. Your picture reminds me of that type of situation.
Neat to be sure.
