I think they can smell the size of a footprint like we can see them and tell what made it.
Dude.....are you alright!!!!!? Will you listen to yourself for crying out loud. Who is your dealer? I definately want some of what you have! And fyi...deer are not that smart...clever at times, yes. Smart...no. If they were half as smart as most guys think they are, why do so many of them get run over by cars? THINK ABOUT IT.

I've used Hunter's Specialties Scent-A-Way shampoo/body wash for years and will continue to use it. This stuff works great. You still have to make sure your clothing is scent free but this does help. I've had bear, turkey, coyote and deer all walk within 20 yards of me so I must be doing something right......

Dito - Dito on the Baking Soda and Ivory. I wash all clothes and deer stand camo wraps in baking soda(or spray them with baking soda). Bestest cheapest scent neutralizer man ever created. I buy 2-3 bars of Ivory and I'm good to go for season.

i agree completely with ryan and moose hunter. people who use it are just getting caught up in the hype of new products and advertizing. i use cover scents but i just haven't seen the need for these products. they might help some but that stuff can be pretty expenxive and i don't have the money for it. but thats just me.

the stuff works. anything that you can do to improve your sucess rate is worth a try. I have had experiences with and without the stuff, and I am far more consistent with it. I am nearly fanatical about it. I shower with it, have my towel washed in scentless soap, all my clothes are scent lok and then spray myself down with scentless spray. I would rather be good than lucky. I've had far more deer near me with the stuff than without it. I was far too narrowminded before to use it, and I wondered why my buddy (who used it) who was only 75 yds away was seeing, and killing deer sooo much more regurally than I was. btw, deer are hit by cars for one main reason...they cannot reason. kind of like the people that get hit by cars.

If you all spent half as much time in the woods as you do at walmart and on the net, you too would understand that deer are pretty stupid animals when it comes right down to it. Every single one of them can be had. Keep living through Jackie Bushman and listening to all the crap and you will never get any better. There is one reason and one reason only that a deer won't smell a hunter, and thats if the wind is not blowing in their direction, even if it appears to be. You all go spend all your money on your junk and line some chinamans pockets. If your smart, all you need to do is pay attention to the wind, thermals, etc. You can't buy woods savy. Some have it, others don't. In order for a person to be a true predator, one must tap into the essence of their sole and listen to their instincts. One must become IT. Approach the hunt as a coyote would, and success will be iminent.

moose your the man - you win - you made your point. Lets move onto "Shampoo". Thats the topic
BTW I agree that most/all of this scent lock, shampoo etc. is alot of marketing hype. IMO far too many common houshold or food products that will accomplish the same thing.
Having said that IF a hunter gains more confidence in the woods during the hunt using all this scent free jazz - thats his/her choice.

Can't use as shampoo but apples work very well when rubbed on clothing, hat, tree bark etc. I keep a bag of apples in truck during the season. Another good scent control is cutting cedar branches and putting them in large plastic trash bag. Put all your clothes inc hat and boots in bag after every hunt. El - Natural - and cheap!
